Party subsidies

The Government grants annual subsidies to the political parties and to the Province of Åland to support political activities.

The Prime Minister's Office is responsible for subsidies to political parties as referred to in the Political Parties Act. The Ministry of Justice supervises the monitoring of the use of party subsidies.

Issues related to party subsidies are handled in the Prime Minister’s Office by the Administration and Development Unit.
