Department for Administration and Specialist Services

The Department for Administration and Specialist Services comprises the Administration Unit, Government Translation Unit and Information Service.

 

The Administration Unit is responsible for personnel, financial and information management and for in-house communications. The unit drafts statutes concerning the Prime Minister’s Office, the Office of the President of the Republic and the salary and pension of the President of the Republic. The Administration Unit is also responsible for the functioning of the premises used by the Government and for general administration.

 

The Government Translation Unit translates government proposals, statutes published in the Statute Book of Finland and other Government documents into Finnish and Swedish. The Government Terminology Service, functioning as part of the Translation Unit, is responsible for terminology work in various languages.

 

The Information Service is responsible for document management, EU information management, maintenance of the ministries’ joint intranet and other information services.
