Oras Tynkkynen appointed specialist in climate policy issues

Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen has invited Member of Parliament Oras Tynkkysen to serve as specialist in climate policy issues during the current Government’s term of office.

The duties of Mr Tynkkynen will include the drawing up of the foresight report on climate and energy policy, participation in the meetings of the ministerial group on climate and energy policy and coordination of climate policy issues.

Decision on the appointment of a climate policy specialist was made in the Government formation talks.

The position is administratively located in the Prime Minister’s Office. The specialist will not receive separate payment for his work.
